Who are we?
Safety Training Woodworking has been set up to respond to the needs of the woodworking industry by
two former Further Education Lecturers. John Gubb has for the past twenty years been involved in the education and training of woodcutting machinists, joiner and furniture makers whilst retaining a link with industry and research ensuring that
he remains up to date. Collaborative ventures with the Health and Safety Executive and local companies resulted in their taking part in the safety video ‘The Cutting Edge’ Development of complex tooling systems for an East Anglian organ
builder for the organ case of St.Martins in the Fields, London. Providing supporting information for the HSE and others in legal proceedings. Both hold and following qualifications Teaching qualifications from the University of Leeds. Crafts,
Advanced Craft in carpentry and bench joinery, machine woodworking and Full Technological Certificates in Construction and Machine Woodworking from the City and Guilds of London Institute.
